Can I take hair gel on an airplane in the checked bag if it is more then 3 oz?

I am going out of town for about a month and I use hair gel everyday there is a store out here that you can buy alot of my kind of gel for a really low price. And that store is not out there. Yes, you'll be ok. You can take it on your checked bagged. The only kind of gel that they'll allow you to take on carry-on is those sample or travel size ones that are less than 3 oz.

Also if you don't really want to take a big jar of jel lol, try another kind of gel when you get there. Saves you space for other things to pack.
