Steps





1. Apply the wax or gel amount corresponding to a 1/3 of your index finger on one of your palms


2. Rub your palms together and “warm up” the hair-product by a sliding, fast friction motion (just like you were to wash your palms very forcefully).


3. Now, both of your hands should be full of the hair-products, your palms and fingers too.


4. In a quick and not too hard movement (don’t do like when you’re washing hair), massage your hands through your entire hair (including hair at the back of the head) all the way to the scalp. If you have short hair: Begin thinking on a direction you want your hair to bristle towards and slowly comb your finger through your hair in that direction.


5. Once you have no more visible hair-product on your palms, you can start fine-tuning straws of hair by changing the direction they are pointing towards.


6. If you have short hair and want an “out of the bed”-look, then simply massage mud-max through your hair very quickly and in all directions. Stop, and if the desirable look isn’t achieved, apply more hair-product to your hands and try stylizing again.








Tips





* There is a point where hair won’t bristle anymore, either because you have added too much hair-product and it has gotten heavy, or because you haven’t washed your hair for a couple of days and your hair is heavy. If this is the case, then you must wash your hair before you can re-apply some hair-product and change the hair-styling.








Warnings





* Mud-wax or other hair-waxes/gels you buy at your hairdresser generally cant cause any damage to the hair or the scalp, but you should rinse your hair with water before going to bed every time you use a stylizing hair-product (to avoid irritation of the scalp).How do I use hair gel? Don't put it on when it's soaking wet but don't put it on when it's dry. I put it on when it's damp.
