Why does my hair gel always dry out?

Whenever I use hair gel it always dries out after about 2 hours. But on my friends it looks wet and shiny for the whole day. What am I doing wrong?Why does my hair gel always dry out?
Try using a different product. MOUSSE. It can still give you that hold, but it doesnt dry out, and it keeps the hair soft. Or at least ultra strong hold hair sprayWhy does my hair gel always dry out?
i hate gel but when i do use it after i put on the gel i put grease on top of it so when your hair gets hard it stays luukin shiny
Get Aussie spray gel. it works magnificantly and doesnt dry out or clump. It gets kinda hard but it looks wet. None of that white flake stuff.
Some gels contain alcohol..it's best to read the label before considering purchasing
make sure you put it on while your hair is still damp.
