Can you bring hair gel to basic training for the army?

I leave September 16 for Fort Jackson, SC.

I'm not trying to look cute, but my hair stays so much more manageable if I use gel, so I wouldnt have to worrry about pieces falling out and getting yelled at.

Are you allowed to use gel?

I really prefer not to hear those who have any negativity towards my question please. Can you bring hair gel to basic training for the army?
Yes you can bring hair gel.I recently completed BCT @ Ft.Jackson I am a female and understand what you mean. We are also allowed to go and purchase those product when you are at a certain phase. Can you bring hair gel to basic training for the army?
lol, um no. You wont have any hair during basic training.

If you are a female I am not sure because I went to an all male infantry BCT. But my guess would be that no you cannot use gel.

The rules have changed recently, and Ft Jackson is the nation's easiest Basic Training, it's nickname is ';Relaxin Jackson';, so they may allow you some type of hair styling commodities but I still would not expect to be able to use gel.
Well if you don't want negativity, than why ask such a stupid question?

As far as I'm concerned, EVERYONE should have their heads shaved at Basic. Men AND women! Then you don't have to worry about BS things such as your hair falling out.
Don't worry, you do not have to shave your head if you are female. In fact it's better that your hair is long so that it can be pulled back into a bun without needing clips and what not. Don't bother bringing your own stuff, you'll be issued everything you need. Good Luck
No not likely. You can have it but you wont be using it.
no. IF you are permitted to have it you would be allowed to buy it once you get there.
absolutely not
uh, no
yes

and thanks for serving
