Is there a good hair gel to hold a 4 year old's hair up in a high ponytail for jr cheerleaders?

The gel has to be able to hold for at least 4-5 hours, plus be gentle enough not to cause a skin reaction. Any serious advice on this would be appreciated. Thank you in advance! Is there a good hair gel to hold a 4 year old's hair up in a high ponytail for jr cheerleaders?
My daughter's hair has to stay in a ponytail for soccer. She brushes spray gel through her hair (Herbal Essence) while it's still damp, towel dries again and brushes through one more time. When it's dry, she puts it up in the ponytail and gives it a spray with some hair spray. We've spent as many as 8 hours at the park helping out with other teams and it stays all day.Is there a good hair gel to hold a 4 year old's hair up in a high ponytail for jr cheerleaders?
I have always thought that Treseme has a great gel product
4-5 hours of cheerleading for a little 4 year old girl? Be careful - your daughter's life and future are in your hands. Overworking her now could create serious, serious problems for her as a teenager and adult. She's a tiny little child.

She shouldn't be put in performance-based situations at such a young age. It will create the belief that her self-worth is based upon how well she performs. Girls who believe that are often the ones who end up with serious problems as teenagers - pregnancy and all kinds of other things - because they believe that pleasing other people is what makes them worthwhile. Please, please be careful with your little one! She is your responsibility to protect.
Rave makes a great hairspray that will last for hours.

Tresseme gel works quite well, I use it on my girls daily (helps repel evil evil head lice during school hours) and when they get home, their hair is usually exactly like they had it when they left the house.

I put the gel in when wet, pull it back in a ponytail then spray it with Rave hairspray while it's still wet as well.
I can't believe you would put a 4 year old through that, and people wonder why girls these days have absolutely no self worth or self esteem.
In my opinion Dep and La. Looks are excellent gel as well as a Tresemme Gel.. But it could also depend on a certain hair type.. But these gels are great.
yea the Herbal essence glitter hair get would work great for that and smell good too! I use it for my 2 girls! its not to bad glittery just right!
I swear by LA Looks whenever I need hair gel.
paul mitchells hair spray is good...or try tresseme or sauve those are good and less pricy
Any stiff hold gel. Put her hair up while it is wet and follow it up with a ton of hair spray.
i am in cheerleading and we had to do our hair in tight sponge curls. i use suave gel and then like to touch up i use suave hairspray and it stays for copetitions
