What is the difference between moose and hair gel?

i want to curl my hair, and i know how to apply moose, when your hair is wet, but when do i apply hair gel? before or after i curl my hair?What is the difference between moose and hair gel?
you can do either whenever but mousse works better with wet hair i think. gel is heavier, and more effective. mousse is kinda weak in my opinion. it never works well compared to gel but both can turn your hair crunchy if you use too much, mousse in thin hair makes it scraggly looking. if you use gel before it will be courser feeling and if you use it after it could get crunchy. if you use mousse before it wil work better...depends on what look you are wanting.

moose is a light foamy light hold product, used in damp hair before drying, so before curling.


Gel is a heavy bodied stiff hold product, applied to damp hair but will flake when dry. so I suggest round trip from paul mitchell on damp hair! or a light pomade!

Hair gel, on the other hand, is often sold either in a squeezable plastic container or a plastic jar with a lid and is a jelly-like consistency that is made to hold hair firmly in form you want. even tho hair mousse and hair gel share some of the same properties, they are also quite distinct and are often used to create very different types of hairstyles. (hair gel for spiky hair, hair mouse for volumous hair, etc)
