What type of hair gel (or product) will do good for me?

I have straight hair that turn wavy when kept a little longer. I have tried several gels and mousse, but my hair doesn't stand all these for more than an hour, as the gel effect wipes out quickly. Need some hair product that gives a hold and a wet look that continues for a while..What type of hair gel (or product) will do good for me?

Brylcreem strong wax does it for me, or go for Black %26amp; White pomade, strong though but certainly cuts the mustard, Dax Wax is good and so is Sweet Georgia Brown, used in pro salons.
