I have a quaker parrot and i want to stlye his feathers just to see how he looks =P can this hurt it?Can you put hair gel on a parrot without hurting their skin?
Definitely, it would hurt him. You don't even want him breathing in the fumes of hair gel, let alone getting it all over his feathers. It would be overpowering, and if he even retained the mobility that he'd probably lose from the toxic fumes, he would swallow a lot of it when he preens. Can you put hair gel on a parrot without hurting their skin?
I don't think it would hurt their skin as long as it doesn't come in contact with it. That being said, I do think it would make it sick if you didn't get all the gel off his/her feathers since they do groom themselves quite often. (My macaw, all day.....) You do need to realize that there are chemicals in hair gel that should not be ingested and alcohol which could irritate delicate skin....
No problem with that along as you want to KILL your parrot.
